Half intending to work on a winter subject and just letting the chips fall where they may led to this, the last bow of the holiday. As I walked the dog this morning among all the trash bins on the curb, there were boxes and ribbon and crumbled bright papers attesting to the end of the Christmas season and the beginning of a new year. That might be why there is so much black and white in this, a hint of bleakness with a bit of good cheer and some happy scribbles thrown in for good measure.
And from the lake yesterday when the temp was 20 or so and I ran out in the snow to get this shot in my pj's. The sun was just coming up and the clouds were turning pink, it didn't last long, the clouds rolled in and blocked the sun so I'm glad I got out there. Catch it when you can! A serene wish for a happy new year for you!
